SOFTWARE TESTING WORKSHOP IN CET-IILM-AHL, GREATER NOIDA HELD ON 8TH SEPT 2014

Don't be afraid to change... You may lose something good but you may gain something better...

It's a great a session conducted by CET-IILM-AHL, Greater Noida held on 8th Sept 2014. It's a flash back of my engineering days when I was in same lab where I have done C practicals. But this time I was here to present myself as well as the role of a Software Tester in IT industry. I felt very pleasure when I read the comment from organizer (Roopali Goel) on ALUMNI site ALMA CONNECT:


Department of computer Science and engineering has successfully organized Alma Connect Session dated 8th- September 2014, by Mr.Abhishek Yadav ,Senior Quality Analyst, Aptara Inc.He is alumni of CET 2005-2009 Batch. The session started with introduction of each student,to know their field of interest.
The speaker made aware about various career opportunities in their field of interest. As part of that, discussion moved ahead towards TESTING. Terminology of testing, types of testing and various tools like QTP,SELENIUM, WATIR, SAHI etc and significance of these tools are explained to students. Then scope in software testing, difference between manual and automated testing and principles of testing are explained. Session concluded with description of various IT certification courses like ISTQB,CSTE etc followed by questionnaire.
